Adli Hafidz faces Komsan Polsan for the UBO World title on March 19
Adli Hafidz vs. Komsan Polsan
Johore, Malaysia – 19 March 2022
Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) Inter-Continental Middleweight Champion Adli “Goldenboy” Hafidz (9-0, 5 KOs) is on a mission to become World Champion.
After several postponements due to Covid restrictions, he is now scheduled to fight former IBF and WBC regional titlist Komsan Polsan (40-12-1, 26 KOs) from Thailand for the vacant UBO World Middleweight title on March 19, on home soil in Johore, Malaysia.
The date is only as certain as it can be in the world we currently live in, but Hafidz has stayed disciplined and focused since long before Christmas, training for the fight, working on his craft, even when new restrictions forced one delay after another.
“Training has been good, and I have just pushed on and followed the programs”, explains Hafidz. “I really respect my opponent, who is very experienced and tough, but I am going to win this fight.”
Hafidz, who is a former WBC and WBA Asian Champion, and won the UBO Inter-Continental title last October in Indonesia, is excited to be returning to his native Malaysia for what is the biggest fight of his career so far, after three straight outings abroad.
“It really means a lot to have this fight in my home country, to create history in Malaysian pro boxing, and it will without a doubt be the best achievement for me to become UBO World Champion”, said the 33-year-old Southpaw.
The fight will headline a show promoted by AGH Promotions, which will also feature the return of former UBO Inter-Continental and Asia-Pacific Light Heavyweight Champion Muhammad Meeraj.
