Akeem Ennis-Brown faces Sam Maxwell in Birmingham on August 28
Akeem Ennis-Brown vs. Sam Maxwell
Utilita Arena in Birmingham, England 28/8/21
Akeem Ennis-Brown will defend his British and Commonwealth super-lightweight titles against Sam Maxwell on a huge bill taking place next month.
The two men will square off on a Queensberry Promotions show at the Utilita Arena in Birmingham on Saturday 28 August, live on BT Sport.
Brown (14-0, 1 KO) had originally been due to defend his titles against Maxwell (15-0, 11 KOs) in March, before an injury forced the man known as ‘Riiddy Riiddy Riival’ out of the fight.
The two undefeated stars will now get the chance to square off, with Brown looking to build on his victory over Philip Bowes last September, while Maxwell’s last outing saw him claim a victory over late replacement Ben Fields on that March date.
Promoter Frank Warren said: “Ennis-Brown v Maxwell promise and will deliver excitement for those lucky enough to be there and BT Sport viewers. This is a card that no one can have any complaints about.”
