Alexander Povetkin Ready to Take Out Whyte on March 27th

The eagerly awaited rematch between Interim World Boxing Council Heavyweight Champion, Russian Alexander Povetkin and Britain’s Dillian Whyte, will take place on March 27 in Gibraltar.

Povetkin reports ready and in excellent shape for this important decider.

In their first fight on August 22, Povetkin (36-2-1, 25 KOs) survived two knockdowns in round 4 to knock out Whyte (27-2, 18 KOs) in the fifth round with a ballistic left uppercut.

The rematch was originally scheduled for March 6 in London, but had to be moved due to travel restrictions in the UK, due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The event will air in the United States on DAZN.
