Amanda Serrano & Daniela Bermúdez Speak Ahead of Thursdays Fight
The WBC featherweight champion, Puerto Rican Amanda Serrano (39-1-1, 29 KO), will face the tough Argentine fighter, Daniela “Bonita” Bermúdez (29-3-3, 10 KO), in the main event of a billboard this Thursday, in the Plaza del Quinto Centenario, in San Juan de Puerto Rico.
Bermudez, who is originally from Villa Gobernador Gálvez, in Argentina, commented: “I feel completely confident in taking the victory. I have fought in Japan and Mexico and I was able to go out with my arm raised, so it will not generate pressure to be in the Serrano’s back yard. It is a shock that I have been wanting to pull off for years and I have very well studied for this. She is a formidable boxer, very strong and that with the passage of time has improved in all aspects. I am aware that she is in the best moment of his career, but so I am. It’s a very tough fight, but for Serrano it won’t be easy either, because she hasn’t faced anyone like me… yet.”
Amanda Serrano, 32, from Carolina, Puerto Rico and now a Brooklyn resident, commented:
“I am completely excited to be able to fight on the island of Puerto Rico. It will be an unforgettable night. My rival is an extraordinary boxer and one of the rivals for whom I waited to battle for so long. It is a great bout and I prepared myself like never before.”
The fight, which is part of the “Ring City USA” series and is promoted by DiBella Entertainment, Miguel Cotto Promotions and Bash Boxing, will be broadcasted on NBC and TyC Sports.
