Amanda Serrano: “It Will be a Special Night Under the Stars in San Juan”
World Boxing Council featherweight champion, Puerto Rican Amanda Serrano, will step into the ring on March 25 to face Argentina’s Daniela Romina Bermudez, in what will be the first time since 2017 that she has fought in her homeland.
The New York resident champion will headline the “Ring City USA” series whose second edition in Puerto Rico will take place at the Plaza del Quinto Centenario in Old San Juan. On that night the belts of the World Boxing Council and the World Boxing Organization will be at stake
The card will not have spectators , but will be broadcast on NBC Sports and will also be available through the Twitch app.
“I am very excited to be able to go to my country to fight as a champion. I have done a lot of preparation. I am excited to get a good victory. Daniela is an extraordinary boxer and I am sure it will be a special night under the stars in San Juan,” Serrano said. She arrives in Puerto Rico today.
