The fight, which is part of the “Ring City USA” series and is promoted by DiBella Entertainment, Miguel Cotto Promotions and Bash Boxing, will be televised on NBC and TyC Sports.
The WBC featherweight champion, Puerto Rican Amanda Serrano (39-1-1, 29 KO), fights Argentinian Daniela “Bonita” Bermúdez (29-3-3, 10 KO) this Thursday, at the Plaza del Quinto Centenario in San Juan de Puerto Rico.
Puerto Rican born Amanda Serrano is ready to ably defend her WBC featherweight championship in Puerto Rico against tough challenger Daniela Bermudez.
Although the card will not have an audience, Amanda is more than motivated to defend her championships on her beloved island.
Amanda Serrano:
“It is a great honor to fight here. The fight is for you, for my island. I’ve been training hard doing what I love to bring them pride ”
“I want to continue making history. I fight for all the women of Puerto Rico; I want to be a role model for girls. I fight for the young women; I want to open doors for the girls of Puerto Rico. We are capable of doing everything we dream to do.”
Daniela Bermudez:
“I am well trained, I know she is a great rival. I have been studying her, she is also a southpaw. It is one of the most important fights of my career so far. I have already been in Tokyo and in Mexico, so in Puerto Rico I will feel like a local fighter.
“It is one of the most important fights in my career, this is something special. I am calm and focused. It will be something nice to win those titles. I have been in boxing since I was 13 years old. My whole family is into boxing. It took a while for my mom to let me box. My dad, who was a boxer, didn’t want this, but we got involved, we loved it and we’re passionate about it. I still have many dreams to achieve and I want to continue winning titles ”
The WBC featherweight champion, Puerto Rican Amanda Serrano (39-1-1, 29 KO), will face Argentine fighter, Daniela “Bonita” Bermúdez (29-3-3, 10 KO), in the main event of a card to be held tomorrow, Thursday, March 25, in the Plaza del Quinto Centenario, in San Juan de Puerto Rico.
