Arnold Barboza: I’m training like this is a world title fight
Arnold Barboza vs. Antonio Moran
Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA 14/8/21
Arnold Barboza is leaving no stone unturned as he prepares to take on Antonio Moran in a super-lightweight showdown on Saturday 14 August.
Barboza (25-0, 10 KOs) faces Moran (26-4-1, 19 KOs) at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Tulsa, Oklahoma, as part of the event that features the main event between Joshua Franco and Andrew Moloney in their trilogy battle for the WBA super-flyweight title.
A win for Barboza can move him a step closer to earning a shot at a world title, but the 29-year-old says he is already treating this clash as if it was a crack at world honours.
Barboza said: “I’ve been in the gym since the Saucedo fight, and I’m looking forward to this one. He’s a tough, experienced fighter, and we’re looking to put on a good show.
“I don’t pay too much attention to the rankings. I always train like it’s a world title fight, and I expect Moran to give a great effort.”
