Artur Beterbiev & Adam Deines Promise Fireworks Tomorrow Night
Undefeated WBC light heavyweight champion Artur Beterbiev (15-0, 15 KO), from Russia will defend his Green and Gold Belt Adam Deines (19-1-1, 10 KO) of Germany, Saturday at the Khodynka Ice Palace”, Moscow, Russia.
Beterbiev and Deines have been scheduled to fight twice before. The proposed October 23 date was delayed after Beterbiev had a rib injury during training, and the January 30 date was postponed after Beterbiev tested positive for COVID-19.
Deines, who was born in Russia but became a German national, will get his first world title opportunity, albeit a daunting one.
In the main backup fight, Azizbek Abdugofurov will face Pavel Silyagin, for the WBC Silver super middleweight title. Also super lightweight Khariton Agrba will fight Helber Rojas and super lightweight Alexander Besputin will clash with Viktor Plotnikov.
The card, which is promoted by Patriot Boxing in association with Top Rank, and will be televised on ESPN.
