Attractive Undercard Supporting Beterbiev vs. Deines
Undefeated World Council Light Heavyweight Champion, Artur Beterbiev from Russia (15-0, 15 KO), will defend his crown against German Adam Deines (19-1-1, 10 KO), on Saturday, March 20, at the Khodynka Ice Palace in Moscow, Russia.
Beterbiev, the only world champion with a 100 percent knockout percentage, has seen no action since he knocked out Ukrainian world champion Oleksandr Gvodzyk to unify the WBC and IBF world titles in October 2019 in Philadelphia.
Adam Deines born in Russia, but nationalized German, has reached his first world title shot.
As part of the undercard, World Boxing Council Silver super middle champion Uzbek Azizbek Abdugofurov (13-0, 5 KOs) will defend his title against undefeated Pavel Silyagin (6-0 4 KOs).
Azizbek conquered the WBC Silver title in November 2018 by defeating Chinese Wuzhati Nuerlang. Later in August 2019, he knocked out Russian Gasan Gasanov in 4 rounds. Pavel Silyagin is one of Russia’s strongest prospects, and comes to this fight after defeating Venezuelan Omar Garcia by knockout in January this year.
In another interesting fight, top Russian prospects, Alexander Besputin, will clash with Ukrainian Viktor Plotnikov at welterweight.
Also, the Russian Ramzan Baysarov and Venezuelan Michel Marcano, fight in a super welterweight match for the CISBB title endorsed by the WBC.
The card will be broadcast live on ESPN +
