Batyr Jukembayev: I’m Ready To Showcase Myself On The World Stage
BATYR JUKEMBAYEV vs. SUBRIEL MATIAS
Batyr Jukembayev insists his training camp with Manny Robles has helped him get the tools to defeat Subriel Matias when they meet in their IBF super-lightweight title eliminator next weekend.
Undefeated Jukembayev (18-0, 14 KOs) faces Matias (16-1, 16 KOs) on the undercard of the WBC bantamweight title fight between Nordine Oubaali and Nonito Donaire on Saturday 29 May, live on Showtime.
It will be Jukembayev’s first fight competing in the USA, and he’s vowed to get a victory over Matias and show everybody just what he is capable of.
Jukembayev said: “I’ve had a full training camp in Los Angeles with Manny Robles, and I’m ready to showcase myself on the world stage.
“I’m undefeated, and my time is now. I’m facing a strong and experienced opponent, but I believe that I have all of the tools to be victorious on May 29.”
Matias added: “I’m pleased about this opportunity. “I appreciate my team for making this fight possible. The best man will win on May 29, and I commend my opponent for stepping up to the challenge.
“We’re going to deliver a great fight for the fans. I am the pride of Maternillo, and this will be a victory for all of them.”
