Caleb Plant Says He Can Defeat Canelo

Although there has been no confirmation yet, Mexican super middleweight champion Saul “Canelo” Álvarez is expected to face champion Caleb Plant.

In a recent interview with “The Ring”, Plant commented that he is psyched in pursuing a win against “Canelo” and is confident that he has all the tools to go out and win.

“I don’t know his mentality. I know mine. I’ve said this before, I respect Canelo as a man, but I don’t respect his boxing skills. I think I can be better than him in the ring.

“I’ve said it before, watching him wasn’t impressive and I didn’t learn anything new about his style. His fight against Saunders didn’t change my mind in any way. When our fight happens, I’m going to have a perfect fight plan to show that I’m the best. 168 pounds. I know when we fight, I’ll be the one to raise my hand.”
