Callum Bradley: I’m buzzing to be fighting on such a big occasion
Callum Bradley vs. Brett Fidoe
Falls Park in Belfast, Northern Ireland 6/8/21
It’s been a long road back for rising star Callum Bradley – but he finally gets the chance to once again show his skills to the world when he competes on Friday.
Bradley (4-0) makes his long-awaited return to the ring on the Conlan Boxing and Top Rank event at Falls Park in Belfast later this week.
The youngster was last in action in February 2020, but after 18 months without a fight, he’s ready to come back with a bang.
Bradley said: “I’m buzzing to be fighting on such a big occasion as it’s the biggest show to be on in Ireland. It’s been a long and frustrating 18 months due to the pandemic, but that’s behind me now and I’m ready to push on.
“I haven’t stopped training because you could have got the call to fight any time, so I have kept myself fit and ready, and I’m hoping to be straight out again soon after this.
“It’s massive to be sharing a bill with the best fighters in Ireland and even the world. I believe I belong on these bills and I can’t wait to show it on the night.
“It was an unreal experience fighting outdoors at Falls Park during the last event in 2019. The atmosphere was brilliant and I can’t wait to experience it again on Friday.”
Elsewhere on the card on Friday, Michael Conlan goes up against TJ Doheny, Lee McGregor defends his European bantamweight title against Vincent Legrand, Tyrone McKenna meets Jose Felix for the vacant WBO Intercontinental super-lightweight title, Sergei Gorokhov defends his WBC International Silver super-middleweight title against Padraig McCrory, Sean McComb faces Vincent Martin Rodriguez, James McGivern returns, and Fearghus Quinn is back in action.
