Dominican middleweight Carlos “Bronco” Adames, achieved an important victory for his career, by defeating Ukrainian Sergiy Derevyanchenko by majority decision, in an exciting battle this Sunday, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.
The fight was eliminatory to dispute the middleweight title of the World Boxing Council.
Adames started the fight well, he had control, but little by little Derevyanchenko was raising the intensity, in an entertaining and highly competitive battle, but in the end, it was won by the more accurate Dominican on two of three judges’ cards: 97-93 and 96 -94, while the third scored a draw 95-95.
Adames improves his record to 21-1, with 16 knockouts, while Derevyanchenko is now 13-4, with 10 victories by way of knockout.
