Chantelle Cameron was ripped and ready on the scales as she weighed in ahead of her WBC super-lightweight title defence against Melissa Hernandez tomorrow night.
Cameron (13-0, 7 KOs) puts her belt on the line against Hernandez (23-7-3, 7 KOs) at the Michelob ULTRA Arena at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas on Saturday, on the undercard of Devin Haney’s WBC lightweight title fight against Jorge Linares, and will be broadcast worldwide on DAZN.
The two women weighed in on Friday, with Cameron in fantastic condition at 139.2lbs, while mandatory challenger Hernandez came in at 136.2lbs.
Cameron said: “It’s been amazing in Las Vegas. It’s been a great experience and I will put on a good performance. I’ve had the best preparation I can ask for.
“I feel strong and powerful, and I’m going to make a statement out there. She’ll be tricky and slippery, but I’m the better fighter all round and I’m going to be aggressive, come forward and win.”
Hernandez said: “I’ll do what I’ve done for the past 20 years, win. I have a lot of respect for Chantelle as she’s the champion and I need to show I still have it.”
