Undefeated WBC middleweight champion Jermall Charlo, will defend his title against Juan Macias Montiel on June 19.

Charlo comes from successfully retaining his title after defeating Sergiy Derevichenko by unanimous decision last September.

Macías Montiel, nephew of former champion Fernando “Kochulito” Montiel, comes from knocking out World title contender James Kirkland in a round.

This fight will take place at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas, the home stadium of the Houston Rockets of the NBA.

Showtime’s three-fight telecast will also feature lightweight contender Isaac Cruz (21-1-1, 15 KOs) taking on former WBC 130-pound champion Francisco Vargas (27-2-2, 19 KOs). .

In another fight, former champion Angelo Leo (20-1, 9 KOs), from Albuquerque, New Mexico, will face Mexican left-hander Aaron Alameda (25-1, 13 KOs) in a 10-round bout.
