Undefeated unified super welterweight world champion Claressa Shields from the United States, will face the undefeated Canadian world champion Marie-Eve Dicaire, in a unifying duel, topping the the “Superwomen” card, this Friday, March 5, at the Dort Federal Credit Union Events Center, in Shields’ hometown of Flint, Michigan.
Boxing fans will be able to witness this historic card through Pay Per Event, from the WBC Channel Powered by VIVE Network platform https://vivetv.cleeng.com/superwomen-shields-vs-dicaire-super-welterweight-unification-event/E237706015_US
Shields, a staunch advocate for gender equality, has publicly expressed her frustration not only at the postponement of her return to the ring, but also at the absence of pay-per-view opportunities for women’s fights. This card represents the return of Pay Per Event to women’s boxing, just in celebration of International Women’s Day that will be on March 8.
Both fighters breezed through the weigh-in without problem. Shields weighted 153.6 pounds, while Dicaire was 152.6pounds.
