Daniel Lugo & Diego Andrade Clash for Fecarbox Title on Friday
Daniel “Caballo” Lugo (22-1-0, 16 ko’s) will face Diego “Cuchis” Andrade (12-3-2, 1 KO), over 10 rounds with the Fecarbox featherweight championship of the World Boxing Council on the line, in the main fight of the card that Max Boxing will present this Friday at Mérida, Yucatán, to open its 2021 season.
Both Lugo and Andrade, come from important triumphs and on the same stage. “Caballo” took away the undefeated Miguel Mateos Moreno, winning by unanimous decision in September 2020.
“Cuchis” beat Jorge “Pilón” Lara on points, who entered the ring with a 29-1-2 record, last December, and four months earlier, he beat Alexis Reyes. He is the son of former boxer Diego Andrade, who from 1989 to 2009 fought more than 60 fights, facing Johnny González, Víctor Rabanales, Adán Vargas, Daniel Ponce de León, Gerson Guerrero and Edel Ruiz, among other top-level fighters.
Max Boxing announced that the boxing evening will be behind closed doors and the prevention and health protocols of the local health authorities will be followed.
