David Benavidez & José Uzcátegui Clash in a WBC elimination on August 28

David Benavidez vs. José Uzcátegui

American David Benavidez will face Venezuelan José Uzcátegui in a clash of former super middleweight champions, in a World Boxing Council elimination fight, on August 28.

It`s presented by Premier Boxing Champions and will be broadcast on Showtime.
Benavidez (24-0, 21KOs) is coming off scoring an 11th round knockout last March over Ronald Ellis at Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, Connecticut. This triumph was a successful return to the ring after having lost the WBC title on the scale.

Uzcátegui (30-4, 25KOs) arrives from knocking out Josue Obando on March 26 in 8 rounds, in Jocotepec, Mexico, after 15-months inactivity.
