Declan Geraghty faces David Rajuili for the UBO World Title September 4

Declan Geraghty vs. David Rajuili
Clarion Congress Hotel, Ostrava, Czech Republic 4/9/21
Irishman Declan “Pretty Boy” Geraghty (19-5, 4 KOs) will go on the road to fight for the vacant Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) World Super Lightweight title on September 4.
A decorated amateur, who competed in both the European and World Championships before turning pro in 2014, Geraghty will travel to Ostrava in the Czech Republic, where he headlines a card promoted by MSM-POL.
The 31-year-old southpaw from Dublin has been unlucky in previous title challenges, but only lost to world class opponents with a combined record of 71-6. Moving up in weight he believes his time has come to shine.
Fighting abroad will be nothing new to him, as this will be his fourth outing outside Ireland and the United Kingdom. So far he has recorded three wins on foreign soil.
Originally scheduled to fight undefeated (18-0-1) Zsolt Osadan, Geraghty will now face experienced former WBF International and All-Africa Champion David Rajuili from South Africa, after the Slovakian pulled out.
Rajuili, based in Karlsruhe, Germany, is bringing a modest 12-8-1 (3) record, but has been in the gym throughout the pandemic only waiting for a big opportunity to present itself. He jumped at the chance to fight Geraghty, even on short notice.
Neither are considered big punchers, but it shapes up to be an interesting and entertaining fight where both men will be looking to leave everything in the ring and bring the UBO belt home.
