Demetrius Andrade & Liam Williams Square Off at Final Press Conference
Demetrius Andrade vs. Liam Williams
Liam Williams vowed to knock out Demetrius Andrade as they went head to head at their final press conference on Thursday.
Williams (23-2-1, 18 KOs) challenges Andrade (29-0, 18 KOs) for the WBO middleweight title at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida, live on DAZN.
The pair had plenty to say to each other as they addressed the media on Thursday, with Williams making his intentions perfectly clear ahead of fight night.
Williams said: “This is a massive opportunity. I want to get the belt and prove that I’m the best fighter at 160 pounds. I’m very excited and I can’t wait to get my hands on him.
“I do respect Andrade. He’s a good fighter and is a two-weight world champion, but I see things that I can do and I am fully confident I’ll do that on Saturday and win in devastating fashion.
“I don’t plan on winning on points. I’m going in crash, bang, wallop. I’m take him out, and when I win this I’ll be a massive star in Wales and Britain. It’s going to be life-changing for me.”
Andrade said: “They all say they’ll do something, but they’ve all got a plan until they get hit. It has been a while since I’ve fought somebody so I can’t wait.
“It’s great to be back in action in Miami in my second home. If Williams brings the fight then I’m all for it, but I’ve been schooling people all my career and it will be the same on Saturday.”
