Dina Thorslund becomes two-weight world champion in Denmark

Dina Thorslund made history as she defeated Jasseth Noriega to become a two-weight world champion on Friday.

The two women were competing at the Struer Arena in Denmark, with Thorslund (16-0, 6 KOs) producing a sensational one-sided performance to add the WBO bantamweight title to her WBO super-bantamweight crown.

All three judges scored the fight 99-90, with Thorslund dominating proceedings from start to finish against Noriega (27-5-2, 5 KOs).

It continues the superb run of form for Thorslund, with the unbeaten star defeating established fighters such as Nina Radovanovic, April Adams, Alesia Graf and Jessica Arreguin Munoz in the past couple of years.

Thorslund now looks to target some huge unification fights at 118lbs, with WBA champion Shannon Courtenay in particular set to be in her sights.
