England Boxing disciplinary hearing outcome

England Boxing is now in a position to confirm a disciplinary hearing outcome following the conclusion of the appeal period.

On 21st October 2020, Steve Tighe from East Midlands Region, was charged with:

Posting anti-Muslim material on Facebook.

Posting material mocking people who identify as transgender

Making threats to the complainants of the matter.

On 13th May 2021, an EB disciplinary hearing found Mr Tighe guilty of all charges.

Mr Tighe received a ban of 10 years from any England Boxing activity, along with a condition that if he did re-join after the ban he would have had to undergo suitable training.
