Former WBC Champion Tony Harrison Will Make Good on Max Pledge
Tony Harrison vs. Bryant Perrella April 17th
Former WBC super welterweight champion Tony “Superbad” Harrison will return to the ring to face Bryant Perrella on Saturday April 17 in Los Angeles, California, on a card that will be broadcast on FOX PBC Fight Night and FOX Sports.
This training camp was totally different for Harrison, as unfortunately his father and his coach Ali Salaam passed away last year.
“We are doing things much more strategically to do what is best for my age and body. I must be smarter. We have had a great training camp. I have been working with younger fighters to push myself to the max level,” Harrison said.
“My father did a great job educating me as a fighter to triumph against any style. I can make adjustments and stand my ground in any situation. I learned a lot from him and now we have to preserve his legacy and move on.”
Harrison is again aiming for the top, after the defeat he suffered against Jermell Charlo, in which he lost the WBC world title, in 2019.
