Ibeth Zamora vs. Marlen Esparza
Don Haskins Center in El Paso, Texas 19/6/21
On June 19 at the Don Haskins Center in El Paso, Texas, Ibeth Zamora will fulfill her dream of fighting in the United States, in the third defense of her Flyweight title of the World Boxing Council against Marlen Esparza.
“This fight for me represents the one that opens more doors for my sports career. We are doing a very good training camp to impress the promoter Golden Boy and have in the future better fights in the US.
“I can only reaffirm that so many years in this sports career have been worth it. I believe that fighting Marlene Esparza has come at the best moment and I believe that we have all the capabilities to return with the belt, ” Zamora told the Mexican sports newspaper” Récord. ”
Aware of the abilities of her rival, Zamora (32-6, 12 KO’s) will make a strategic fight that allows her to shine in the ring and successfully defend her crown.
“I know who Marlene is and I go with the decision and determination to go out with my hand up. We are training in Toluca with Professor Carlos Duarte to reach 100 percent.
“I am a boxer looking for the fight, however, in this battle I am not going to be the same boxer. I am going to go in search of the fight because the idea is to offer a very good show, but I am going to go with greater intelligence”.
