Isaac Lowe: I Will Show That I’m World Class
Isaac Lowe is targeting a huge fight this summer – provided he can return to the ring in style on tomorrow’s huge #MTKFightNight.
Undefeated Lowe (20-0-3, 6 KOs) faces Ed Harrison (2-5) over six rounds at the event, which takes place at the University of Bolton Stadium and is broadcast live in the US on ESPN+ in association with Top Rank, and worldwide on IFL TV.
It is the first time in 13 months that Lowe has been in action, and he wants to achieve big things over the next year after a frustrating 2020.
Lowe said: “It’s been a tough year, not just for myself but for 99% percent of boxers. I got off to a great start in February 2020 and wanted it to be a busy period, but it’s been out of everybody’s hands.
“The most important thing is my family is healthy and safe, and now it’s time to knuckle down and get through this now that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
“Provided there are no injuries and everything goes well on Friday, I want a big fight next, ideally on the Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua card. I have a great team in MTK Global behind me, and whoever they plan out for me I’ll be ready to show I’m a world class fighter.
“I want to make this year count. I am in the prime of my life, I’ve ranked in the governing bodies, and I’m on the fringe of a world title shot. I want to chase the big boys, but first and foremost I have to get through this Friday.”
Elsewhere on the huge #MTKFightNight on Friday, Lewis Crocker defends his WBO European welterweight title against Deniz Ilbay, Gary Cully faces Viktor Kotochigov for the vacant WBO European lightweight title, Jordan Reynolds makes his professional debut against Robbie Chapman, Carl Fail enters the paid ranks for the first time against undefeated Jordan Dujon, and Mace Ruegg meets Levi Dunn.
It kicks off a huge 7 days, as on March 19, a massive #MTKFightNight takes place, as Lee McGregor challenges Karim Guerfi for his European bantamweight title, and Maxi Hughes meets Paul Hyland Jnr for the vacant British lightweight title.
The event on March 19 also sees Padraig McCrory face Germaine Brown in a clash of unbeaten super-middleweights, Shabaz Masoud goes up against Louis Norman, Jamie Robinson fights Billy Allington, Paul Ryan makes his professional debut against Kyle Hughes, and William Hamilton returns.
