With accuracy, skills, plus a subtle variety and frequency of punches, Jackie “Princesa Azteca” Nava conquered the WBC Super Bantamweight Diamond belt, by defeating Mariana “Barby” Juárez via UD in the main fight of the attractive card presented by Zanfer, at the Tijuana Municipal Auditorium.

The “Princesa Azteca” Nava (39-4-4, 16 ko’s) executed effective boxing, and defeated “Barby” Juárez (56-11-4, 19 ko’s) round after round.

The fight started with a very good rhythm, with both seeking to land to the body repeating combinations, while Juárez Barry was  hunting Nava.

The first two rounds were explosive, with many exchanges of blows and in which both defined their strategies, but from the third round, both warriors began to show the ravages of the contest.

Jackie began to bleed from the nose, and Mariana to show inflammation to both cheekbones.

“Barby” landed two power shots in the fourth round, but this didn’t derail the “Aztec Princess.” Nava found the ideal rhythm, distance and movement. Her hand speed and it’s accuracy were notable.

In the sixth round, Mariana Juárez had to have a medical examination at the request of Referee Hector Afu, as she was injured after an accidental head butt, the marks and swellings on the face of “Barby” were markedly noticeable, but the fight continued.

The eighth round was all of Jackie, who attacked aggressively, frequently punching, with dazzling quicksilver  combinations containing power shots.

For the ninth round, Jackie came out to box more technical and relaxed, and Mariana wanted to take the opportunity to throw punches more frequently, but the sound, largely leak proof  defense of Jackie, prevented “Barby” of causing more significant or telling damage.

During the tenth round, Nava received an ovation from her fans who were cheering her: Jackie, Jackie, Jackie”. So, motivated and bolstered she attacked with  all she’d  got against a tiring “Barby”.

Jackie Nava got the victory with cards of 100-90, 99-91 and 97-93, to conquer the WBC Diamond Super Bantamweight belt and show her skills. She placed the  WBC medal over Barby`s neck. Both embraced with wonderful and exemplary sportswomanship.
