Jamel Herring vs. Carl Frampton Fight Card Weights From Dubai
Jamel Herring and Carl Frampton both made weight as they prepare for their highly-anticipated WBO super-featherweight title fight on Saturday.
The D4G Promotions event takes place at Caesars Palace Dubai on Saturday, as Frampton (28-2, 16 KOs) squares off with defending champion Herring (22-2, 10 KOs), in what is the biggest fight to ever take place in the region.
The two fighters weighed in on Friday, with Herring tipping the scales at 58.7kg (129.4lbs), while Frampton was slightly heavier at 58.9kg (129.9lbs).
Elsewhere on the card, former four-weight world champion Donnie Nietes makes his highly-anticipated return, facing Pablo Carrillo for the vacant WBO International super-flyweight title. Nietes weighed 52.1kg (114.8lbs), and Carrillo was 52kg (114.6lbs).
Another title fight sees Tursynbay Kulakhmet defend his WBC International super-welterweight title against Heber Rondon. Kulakhmet weighed 69.8kg (153.8lbs), and Rondon was 69.7kg (153.6lbs).
Tyrone McKenna is in action too, facing Zhankosh Turarov for the WBO Intercontinental super-lightweight title. McKenna weighed 63.3kg (139.5lbs), with Turarov still due to weigh in.
