Javier “Abejón” Fortuna training hard ahead of July 9

Former champion Javier “Abejón” Fortuna (36-2-1, 25 KOs), will have an important and complicated commitment when he faces also former world champion, Californian Joseph “Jo Jo” Díaz Jr. (31-1-1 , 15 KOs).

Both will clash on July 9 in Los Angeles, California, in a fight where the Interim Lightweight title of the World Boxing Council will be at stake.

Javier was originally scheduled to face Ryan Garcia, but the fight was called off when Ryan was reported to be treating some mental health issues.

Fortuna is doing great training camp, as he does not want to leave any doubt that he is one of the best fighters at 135 pounds today.

The fight promoted by Golden Boy Promotions, will be broadcast on DAZN.
