Jono Carroll returns in Dubai next month

Jono Carroll will have his first contest of 2022 when he returns to the ring against Serif Gurdijeljac next month.

The two men go head to head in a super-featherweight contest at the Duty Free Tennis Stadium in Dubai, on Friday 18 March.

Carroll (21-2-1, 6 KOs) was last in action in December, earning a dominant second round stoppage win over Aelio Mesquita at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai.

It made it three straight wins for the Irish star, following on from his victories over Andy Vences and Romic Airapetean earlier in 2021.

He now goes up against Gurdijeljac (21-6, 8 KOs), who in his last contest shared the ring with former European champion Samir Ziani.
