José “Chon” Zepeda Defeats Henry “Hank” Lundy In Las Vegas

This Saturday night past, the fight for the World Boxing Council Silver super lightweight title, between champion José “Chon” Zepeda and Henry “Hank” Lundy.

Both fighters were watchful in a slow paced tactical fight, but southpaw Zepeda, proved more accurate, especially with head punches, to convince the judges he deserved victory.

Lundy started the fight on a melodic note by taking the offensive . The left-hander went head-to-head against champion Zepeda from the first bell. ‘Chon’, on the other hand, tried to decode Lundy’s style and succeeded with some effective body shots.

Both Zepeda and Lundy picked their punches and were prudent in defence. It was the Californian who stood out as the best against one of the toughest and most wily opponents of his career.
