Josh Taylor: “I Feel Like I’m Unbeatable at the Moment”
Josh Taylor has revealed that his confidence is at an all-time high – and he believes he will knock out Jose Ramirez when they have their expected undisputed showdown later this year.
WBA and IBF super-lightweight champion Taylor (17-0, 13 KOs) looks set to collide with WBC and WBO super-lightweight champion Ramirez (26-0, 17 KOs) in a massive battle this summer.
The two unbeaten fighters are both confident of victory, but Taylor has explained just why he is so certain that he will get his hand raised.
Taylor told IFL TV: “I’ve got my dream fight, and it’s about winning the fight more than anything else. I really do believe I’m going to beat him and knock him out.
“My confidence is through the roof since my last three fights. Without getting big-headed, I feel like I’m unbeatable at the moment. I think it’s going to take a real special fighter for me to get beat, or I’ll just have to have a really bad night.
“Ramirez is up against it as well. He’s up against a man that is hungrier than him, and I feel like I’m a better fighter, who is more skilful and more spiteful.
“He is a unified world champion and a good fighter, but I just believe I’ve got the beating of him in every department.”
