Julio César Martínez vs. McWilliams Arroyo?
World Boxing Council flyweight champion Julio César Martínez, is stressing and determining that his next defense of the title be in September, will most likely on the same card as Saúl “Canelo” Álvarez, WBC super middleweight champion.
“Mr. Eddy Reynoso told us that if we finished the fight against Cordova well and quickly, we would be present and correct with ‘Canelo’ Álvarez. Just remaining to define what day in September,” Julio commented.
In the first instance, it is contemplated that the rival is the Puerto Rican McWilliams Arroyo, interim WBC flyweight champion.
“It is the mandatory fight against Arroyo, and it is what we have in mind, I hope he is ready for us, for what will undoubtedly prove great and memorable war.
“I want to first be undisputed champion in the flyweight division. Later I want to climb to super flyweight to fight the best fighters ´Gallo´ Estrada and ´Chocolatito´ González, “.
Martínez comes from defeating Joel Cordova in six rounds on June 26 in Jalisco, in an explosive combat.
