The 32-year-old didn’t waste his chance to impress in his home-coming, as he put on a dominant performance against Croatian southpaw Bosko Misic on what was arguably the biggest boxing event in Kosovo history.
Maloku, who resides in Karlsruhe, Germany, proved a level above Misic, and after three knock-downs in the third round, the fight was waved off and the returning hero was celebrated by the crowd and TV viewers watching live on Kosovo T7.
Maloku took his professional record to 15-2 (12), having won fifteen straight bouts since losing his first two in 2013 and 2014.
For Misic (30), entering the fight coming off two first round knockout wins, it was not to be “third time lucky”, as he also fell short in 2018 and 2019 world title-challenges. He drops to 22-16 (18).
The evenings co-feature, a fight for the vacant UBO Youth World Welterweight title between Kosovan Edmond Zefi and Italy´s Luigi Alfieri was scrapped during fight-week and will take place at a later date.
Promoters of the show were Arena Ring and Gjocaj Boxing Promotions.
