Keita Modibo takes the RBO Welters belt ahead of Beninese Adjanohoun.
Keita Modibo clinched the RBO Welter Belt at the Palais des Sport in Treichville on Friday by beating Beninese Adjanohoun Pierre to win the vacant title. He won on points after the referees decided (2 against 1). The Ivorian champion gives with this title a new dimension to his career.
He now has 8 victories including 4 by KO and one defeat in 9 professional fights. Thanks to this victory, the new RBO Welters champion could integrate the world ranking and compete against more prestigious boxers.
” It was not easy. But, the victory is here. It was necessary to demonstrate that Ivorian boxing is back. We are aiming high now, ”said Keita Modibo with delight at the end of the fight.
