Things got heated as Liam Smith and Anthony Fowler weighed in ahead of this weekend’s fight between the two men.

A huge Liverpool derby takes place as former world champion Smith (29-3-1, 16 KOs) faces Fowler (15-1, 12 KOs) at the M&S Bank Arena on Saturday, live on DAZN.

Elsewhere on the card, Troy Williamson (16-0-1, 12 KOs) challenges Ted Cheeseman (17-2-1, 10 KOs) for the British super-welterweight title, Kieron Conway (16-2-1, 3 KOs) clashes with JJ Metcalf (21-1, 13 KOs), and Blane Hyland (4-1) returns.

The weigh-in took place on Friday, with Smith looking in fantastic shape as he tipped the scales at bang on 154lbs, and Fowler was 153.75lbs.

There was arguments between the two camps, but Smith remained cool, calm and collected throughout ahead of tomorrow’s bout.

In the British super-welterweight title showdown, Williamson came in at 153.75lbs, and defending champion Cheeseman was 153lbs, while in the other super-welterweight battle, Conway weighed 156.75lbs and Metcalf was slightly lighter at 156.5lbs.

Hyland is also back in action, weighing 117lbs for his bout, with his opponent Santiago San Eusebio weighing 116.4lbs.
