Lionel Godfrey Hunter (1962-2020) R.I P

Well known former fighter and trainer Lionel Godfrey Hunter died at his home in Walkerville this morning.

Hunter had a long battle with cancer. He was 58. 

Born on 28 April 1962 he fought as a professional from 1983 to 1986 in the middleweight and light heavyweight divisions, compiling a professional record of 12-5-1, 4 KO’s, before training fighters from his Booysens gym in Johannesburg, South Africa.

May he rest in peace.
