Medallists of EUBC juniors to receive $208,000 USD prize money

International Boxing Association (AIBA) set a prize fund of $208,000 USD for the medallists of the EUBC Junior European Boxing Championships which is taking place in Tbilisi, Georgia. The finals, both men’s and women’s, are scheduled for July 11.

The winners will receive $4,000 USD. For silver medallists, AIBA provides a prize of $2,000 USD, for both bronze medallists – $1,000 each. The awards are equal for both genders in all 13 weight classes.

AIBA puts a lot of effort in supporting boxers. As AIBA President Umar Kremlev mentioned earlier, boxers’ achievements should be recognized and valued. It is important to give opportunities to the athletes. Their hard work and dedication are outstanding and very respectable. AIBA intends to continue the athletes’ pursuit of the highest achievements.
