Michael Conlan: “I’m Coming For Stephen Fulton”
Michael Conlan has vowed that he will be seeing Stephen Fulton very soon after the American became WBO super-bantamweight champion over the weekend.
Fulton (19-0, 8 KOs) won the world title with a unanimous decision victory over Angelo Leo at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, Connecticut on Saturday.
Prior to Fulton’s fight with Leo, he was ranked #1 with the WBO, while Conlan was ranked #2, with it looking likely that the two men will meet in the future.
It didn’t take long for Conlan to make his intentions perfectly clear after Fulton’s win, taking to social media to say that he would be seeing the new champion very soon.
Conlan (14-0, 8 KOs) was last in action in August, where he picked up an impressive tenth round stoppage win over former world title challenge Sofiane Takoucht at York Hall in London.
The Irish hero is making the move from featherweight to super-bantamweight, as he looks to achieve his dream by becoming world champion in 2021.
