Miguel Vazquez Defeats Isai Hernandez
It was a memorable event as MTK Global and MIURA Boxing co-promoted a huge card in Monterrey, Mexico on Friday, with former world champion Miguel Vazquez securing a big knockout win.
The event was being broadcast on ESPN+ in association with Top Rank, and worldwide on IFL TV, with Vazquez (43-10, 17 KOs) showing that he still possesses great power with a stoppage win over Isai Hernandez (10-2-1, 7 KOs).
Former lightweight world champion Vazquez was in control throughout the majority of the fight, with it culminating in a seventh round stoppage win after Hernandez was unable to deal with the pressure he was put under.
Elsewhere on the card, teenager sensation Jonathan Lopez (3-0, 2 KOs) continued the fine start to his professional career, as the 17-year-old earned a unanimous decision win over Omar Santillan (5-2).
Lopez had previously won his opening two fights by first round knockout, but was able to bank some important rounds in this contest, winning on points after six rounds.
