Eduard Moskvichev and Varazdat Mkrtchyan will fight for the World Boxing Association (WBA) Asia Middleweight title on February 20 in Moscow, Russia.
The fight will be special for several reasons. First, because it will be held in the Russian capital, where the pioneer organization will hold its Centennial Convention this year, and also because it will be the first fight of the year for WBA Asia, which has big plans for 2021.
The schedule in Asia will see a great start, as two top prospects will clash in the ring. Moskvichev, 22, is riding an eight-fight winning streak. Although he was born in Moldova, he is a Russian citizen, and will be getting his first shot at a regional title.
Mkrtchyan, 25, also Russian, is undefeated in his career and will also be in his first title fight on February 20.
The event opens a big year for WBA Asia and will be organized by Vlad Hrunov. Moskvichev has a record of 11 wins, 1 loss, 2 draws, and 4 KOs, while Mkrtchyan has 11 wins, 1 loss, and 3 KOs.
