Naoya Inoue vs. Michael Dasmarinas
Virgin Hotel in Las Vegas, USA 19/6/21
On an easy night, Japan’s Naoya Inoue needed three rounds to put Michael Dasmarinas on the canvas three times, who ended up writhing in pain after repeated body blows from the man who remains the WBA super champion and IBF monarch.
At the Virgin Hotel in Las Vegas, Inoue featured the Top Rank event in his sixteenth world championship fight out of a total of twenty-one. Dasmarinas posed no danger to a “Monster” who found the path to victory in the second round when he put the Filipino on the ropes and landed a right straight and a hook to the midsection, causing the first knockdown.
As Inoue unleashed his hunt in the ring, champions Nonito Donaire and John Riel Casimero read his moves sitting in the front row. Logically, they were there because the future smells of unification. Back to the fight, the Japanese insisted with punishment to the body in chapter three to end the actions. Dasmarinas, IBF mandatory challenger, had a cartoonish finish.
The Filipino focused his little attack to the lower body trying to pointlessly reduce the physical conditions of Inoue, who was well received by the fans. For now, with a record of 21 wins and 18 knockouts, he enjoys a solid reign, with beautifully polished skills and future Hall of Fame numbers.
