New date, new location, new opponent, same mission for Adli Hafidz
Adli Hafidz vs. Theerawat Yoohanngoh
30 April 2022
As a consequence of Covid-19 restrictions in Malaysia, Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) Inter-Continental champion Adli Hafidz has been forced to wait patiently for his planned shot at the UBO World Middleweight title.
It was originally supposed to take place on several dates last year in Malaysia, and a few dates during the first quarter of 2022, and most recently the planned March 29 show was scrapped due to new restrictions.
Now a new date is set, and the fight is moved to a new location as its simply too risky to hope that the fight will be allowed to go ahead in Malaysia in the near future.
“Goldenboy” Hafidz (9-0, 5 KOs) has even got a new opponent, as Thailand’s Komsan Polsan has pulled out.
On April 30 in Singapore, he will now face former Thai national and PABA champion Theerawat Yoohanngoh (25-13, 17 KOs), who has jumped at the chance to replace his fellow countryman Polsan on short notice.
Hafidz has shown amazing focus and determination during the last 5 months, but now he feels like he can see the finishing line, saying:
“Now I just want to finish my job, and become UBO world champion. I am of course disappointed that I wont be able to do it in Malaysia, but at the end of the day a ring is a ring and the changes wont affect me.”
“I am ready, I am on a mission and I will come out victorious on April 30!”
