New role for Noel Callan

A former amateur with the Fitzroy Lodge boxing club, Noel Callan is now more recognised as one of boxing’s premier trainers. Possibly most well-known for his work with two-time, double world super welterweight champion, Hannah Rankin – the amiable Londoner has also recently been appointed as ‘Head of Women’s Boxing’ at Dennis Hobson and Steve Crump’s Fight Academy stable.

Here, ahead of Rankin’s first defence of her IBO and WBA Titles, Noel tells more about his new role, gives an update on Hannah’s training, and breakdowns a potential future fight with Liverpool’s Natasha Jonas.
