Nordine Oubaali vs. Nonito Donaire Rescheduled For May 29th
Nordine Oubaali vs. Nonito Donaire
WBC bantamweight champion Nordine Oubaali and boxing legend Nonito Donaire will finally get the chance to square off with one another after their highly-anticipated world title clash was rescheduled for May.
Unbeaten Oubaali (17-0, 12 KOs) will be looking to add another huge win to his impressive record when he defends his title against Donaire (40-6, 26 KOs) on Saturday 29 May, live on Showtime.
The pair were initially set to meet in the world title clash last year before the fight had to be pushed back, with it now set to take place next month.
Oubaali has had immense success in recent times, defeating Rau’shee Warren to win the vacant WBC title in January 2019, before following that up with two superb title defences, beating Arthur Vilanueva and Takuma Inoue.
Donaire is regarded as one of the best boxers from the last 20 years, and during his career has won world titles in four weight divisions.
His last outing saw him take on Naoya Inoue in the World Boxing Super Series final in November, while he has also shared the ring with the likes of Carl Frampton and Guillermo Rigondeaux.
Oubaali and Donaire have spent time sparring during their careers, and will now take their talents to the ring for this summer’s showdown.
