Oleksandr Usyk news on his first NFT collection – Blockchayn Labs Collab
Oleksandr Usyk ranks among the most prime heavyweights of modern era boxing. Formerly a
cruiserweight, Usyk stepped up in the heavyweight division a couple of years back. Since then,
he’s put on colossal performances to lure the fans and eventually expand his stardom.
That said, Usyk has now gone a notch higher outside the boxing world, as he’s inked a deal with
Blockchayn Labs, the leading agency in sports NFT’s.
On July 2nd, Ukrainian professional boxer holds the WBA, WBC, IBF, and WBO titles, Alexander
Usyk dropped his first-ever NFT Collection on Rarible. The Ukrainian boxer shared this news on
his official Twitter handle. He wrote, “I am very excited to announce my 1st Official NFT Collection
which will be dropping soon! To find out more about NFTs and my collection – follow
@blockchaynlabs.io to stay up to date”
‘I’m Coming for You’ features 17 editions where Alexander takes on the image of a DC comic book
character ‘Joker’.
Usyk’s NFT pieces are made in the form of digital trading cards with his famous slogan ‘I’m
Coming for You!’ Each NFT comes with exclusive prizes signed by Alexander Usyk: signed custom
boxing gloves with the NFT print on as well as a physical trading card version of the NFT also
signed by Usyk.
Edition 17 will include the boxer’s signed fight kit that he will be wearing for his next Heavyweight
fight! Within the collection, there is also the original Poster for Aleksandr Usyk’s Official NFT
Collection. This is a 1/1 NFT with a price tag of 1 Ethereum (ETH)
The collection is made in collaboration with Blockchayn Labs , the leading NFT agency in sport. There
is also a note on Aleksandr’s page on Rarible that the 2nd Drop by the boxer will be limited to 50
editions. The details are due to be announced soon.
Almost every boxer today ends up finding lucrative sponsorship deals because of their persona and
fan base. And Usyk has recently pinned himself on that list. As he is one of the most humble boxing
stars at present, that is predominantly why he has a great connection with his fans.
Despite all his brand endorsements and sponsorship deals, the 34-year-old prioritizes his love for
boxing. With his unmatched skillsets and astonishing power, Usyk has become a household name
in the sport in no time.
Despite having ascended to the pinnacle of one division, he is still hungry for more, and with time,
he’s only looking to add to his boxing resume. For now, Usyk is unaligned with any opponent.
However, a bout against Anthony Joshua may be imminent.
Oleksandr Usyk vs Anthony Joshua – One of the most vital heavyweight collisions of 2021
Usyk’s fight with Joshua isn’t official yet, but there are high possibilities of these two boxers
sharing the ring soon.
The Ukrainian boxer will challenge ‘AJ’ for his WBO heavyweight title. And subsequently, the winner
of this bout might get his chance to fight for the undisputed heavyweight championship. It’ll be
interesting to see if this vital fight progresses soon and both these fighters take on each other in the
coming few months.
What do you make of Usyk’s new collaboration?
