Mexican southpaw, Daniel Zaragoza, defeated Japanese idol, Joichiro Tatsuyoshi, by UD over twelve rounds, retaining his WBC bantamweight crown. The fight was at the Prefectural Gymnasium in Osaka. The third man in the ring was Arthur Mercante. The Judges were Lou Filippo, Tony Castellano and Rolando Barrovecchio.
