Pedro Adigue vs. Adolph Pruitt
Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City – December 14th 1968
Filipino Pedro Adigue conquered the vacant WBC super lightweight championship after defeating American Adolph Pruitt by UD. The fight took place at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City. Two months later, Pruitt was granted a rematch bout and he conquered the crown by TKO in the 5th round. That second fight was at the International Center Arena in Honolulu, Hawaii.
