On This Day: Floyd Mayweather Defeated Diego Corrales

January 20th, 2001 – 20 years ago, now retired and undefeated, as one of the very best in the sport, Floyd Mayweather, defended his WBC super featherweight crown after defeating Diego Corrales by TKO in the 10^th round.

Corrales` corner threw the towel in,  after he was dropped to the canvass for the very first time in his career. The battle took place at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas. The Referee was Richard Steele. The Judges were Jerry Roth, John Keane and Anek Hongtongkam.

La esquina de Corrales lanzó la toalla al ring después de que su representado se había ido a la lona por primera vez en su carrera. La batalla fue presentada en la MGM Grand Arena de Las Vegas.
