The tough wily veteran and God fearing father of six, Jersey Joe Walcott finally on his 5th attempt, conquered the world crown with an spectacular KO in round seven over Ezzard Charles. This memorable fight took place at the Forbes Field of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The Referee was Buck McTiernan and at the time of the stoppage Walcott was winning on 2 of the 3 cards.
