Marcos Villasana vs. Paul Hodkinson

June 2nd, 1990

Marcos Villasana, from Mexico conquered the WBC featherweight title defeating Britain’s Paul Hodkinson, via a TKO in round eight. The bout took place at the G-Mex Centre in Manchester, England. The Referee was Arthur Mercante. The Judges were Frank Brunette, Arsene Klopp and Bob Logist. This was Villasana’s fifth attempt to win a world title. And he finally triumphed!
